TOEFL EXERCISE (Skill 1-3): Choose the letter of the underlined word or group of words that is not correct

1.       Nobody know when the process of glass-making was invented.
A Know is incorrect word. Because nobody is the subject (singular subject) and the subject must followed by the singular verb. And the singular verb is used s/es.
The Correct Sentence :
Nobody knows when the process of glass-making was invented.

2.      The languages of the world presents a vast array of structural similarities and differences.
A. Presents is incorrect word. Because The languages is the subject (Plural Subject) and the verb of Plural is  “-s/es”. So the verb presents doesn’t need s/es.
The Correct Sentence :
The languages of the world present a vast array of structural similarties and differences.

3.       The rise of multinationals have resulted in a great deal of legal ambiguity because multinationals can operate in so many jurisdictions.
A. Have is incorrect word. Because The rise multinationals can be transformed into a subject “it”. “it” is a plural subject followed by has,does, etc.
